Choosing a card is always such an overwhelming practice. I always have to wade through the ones with corny, not funny jokes. The ones with lame cartoons, or talking animals. The cards that make sound, are covered in glitter or involve long poems are automatically eliminated from the running. I never feel like the ones that have messages on the inside say what I really want them to say. Do I write something additional? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of getting a card with a pre-written inscription? Inevitably, I'll find the perfect card then turn it over to see that it is shockingly expensive. This is still just paper, right? In the end, I typically seek out the ones that are blank inside, grab which ever one is occasion-appropriate and leave sweating and emotionally spent. I don't understand how people don't crumble under the pressure of choosing a greeting card.Report Photo | Email to a friend
